Sparkle Farms Bloomer Shorts Giveaway! Contest Ended

The winner is DINA!!!

March 4th is my fifth Blogoversary!  I've enjoyed blogging these past five years so to celebrate, lets do a giveaway!

Even before I had any girls, I used to realize how many moms didn't realize their little girls' were showing their undies while playing.  Like on the playground, sitting in circle time in the classroom, spinning like my girls do when they are playing ballerina.  I always said "When I have a daughter, I'm gonna have to buy some sort of bloomers for them to keep them modest." Well, I don't know if you've noticed, those are hard to find.

Sparkle Farms sent me the cutest little bloomer shorts that they can put under their dresses while playing. Since my little princesses wear skirts and dresses quite often, these are perfect.  I've tried putting shorts under their dresses but since they don't fit snugly around the leg, it doesn't always cover their little undies.

**********

Why Sparkle Farms bloomer shorts rock:

  • 95% cotton makes the bloomers breathable and comfortable
  • 5% spandex helps the bloomers maintain their shape
  • Form-fitting style that won't show up under skirts and dresses
  • Hygenic (picture your daughter sitting in the sandbox)
  • Privacy - Private parts should be kept private
$25 per set or $12 each

************

So I tried the bloomers on my girls and they are wonderful!  They're breathable and machine washable.  They come in sizes 3-7. There is no annoying tag to make them uncomfortable either.   They can bounce, swing, play, spin, slide, hang upside down all they want and can keep their modesty also.

What's funny is when I was about to take a picture to show you her cute bloomers, she was sitting on the couch, snuggling her doll, completely unposed. This is a perfect example of a little girl just relaxing but not realizing how they are sitting.  Her little bloomers keep the outfit modest since her skirt came up unnoticed.

Anyhoo!  Sparkle Farms is giving away  a set of these and they come in a pack of 3!

I have 2 daughters and with 2 daughters I understand the need for them to "cover up". Our house rule is, when they go outside with dresses on, or when we have company- they wear shorts or bloomers under their dresses, over their diapers.
Here is another trick I learned over time. I take their tight leggings/stretch pants, measure 4 inches down from the crotch, draw a line across the leggings and cut stright across, then fold the cut edge up, AND use stitch witchery (irons on) to make a new seam.

I buy leggings/stretch pants at thift stores& winter sales for .50 cent to $1.50 each and use the Stitch witchery costs $2.00 at craft/fabric stores (walmart and k mart also sell this) and you can make a bunch.

As moms and dads we might not think about topics like this, but in this day and age, we need to take extra precautions with this and "cover up" our daughters a bit more.
