I don't buy any Made in China holiday decorations for any holiday. We don't celebrate Halloween,St. Patrick's Day,etc. We never have alcohol(We go to a Baptist church) in our home(Proverbs 20:1 and I Cor. 5:11 KJ). We stay home for holidays-our children and grandchildren go to our house. They all live here on Long Island. That chart was really interesting.

I should add that a friend of the family(16) told us yesterday that she didn't know that Independence Day and the fourth of July were the same thing. She is smart so we were surprised. She attends public high school. She had seen the movie Independence Day but not The Patriot. We discussed our nation's independence from the British. I have a list of churches that supported the British and the ones that supported the Patriots that I read from. I think I read the church list in a homeschool textbook-Landmark,Abeka books or Bob Jones. I think even nonhomeschoolers should use these history books(as readers) that the homeschoolers and Christian schools use.

Page 105 of Abeka's 11th grade American history text and Landmark Freedom's 11th grade(page 84) American history book give the church lists that were supportive of the independence movement. Most Baptists supported the patriots, the Pope supported King George, etc.
