Thursday Thirteen #16

Thirteen Reasons I would like JUST one more kid!

(If I decided someday to have another)

1. Because I want to. That's why. (Now that I got that out of the way, let's move on!
2. Because I just can't wait to see how cute those new Maternity Clothes are all about that everyone's been talking about.
3. Because I want a newborn, just one more time.
4. I love the look on Charles' face when I tell him another one is on the way.
5. I wish I could be assured that my last one would be a girl for Ivy, but I just have to hope.
6. I looooove the look on people's face when they see me pregnant and ask me if this is my first. I love their reaction when I tell them exactly what number it is. (If I did get pregnant again, it would be #5).
7. I always wanted to see what it'd be like to have a winter baby. 3 boys are in August and my girl is in July.
8. I love the look people give me when I tell them what number pregnancy I'm on and then they ask me "How old are you anyway?!" For some reason everyone says I look younger than I actually am. Remember, God designed women to have children early on, that's why ovulation starts decreasing after the age of 27. I'm 27 right now.
9. I love their little hands and lips when they are newborns! Soooo cute!
10. I've always just wanted 5 kids. Plus, I only have 5 seats available in my van for kids!
11. I've always wanted to be surprised about whether I'm having a boy or girl. I don't know if I could make it 9 months though!
12. I think children are such a blessing from the Lord and the only people that disagree are those that don't know the bible or understand it's interpretation.
13. I just think children are beautiful and I love how they teach me what life is really all about. Nothing in this world ever compares.

Black Friday

Oh gosh. I wasn't gonna share with you about what happened on "Black Friday" because I didn't want to seem like I was venting. But I think I'll go ahead and share it with you now that I've calmed down and I can see it with a little bit of humor. Maybe... Okay, first off, we had planned for awhile to hang out at our friends house. While the guys take a few of the kids, Michele and I were gonna go shopping at the mall for the day after Thanksgiving sales. After Charles and I drove a half hour to our friend's house (and Michele and her family), we find out that they had changed their minds and didn't want us girls there with our kids. Michele and I, in shock, got back in our vehicles (with our 7 kids) and drove to the mall. We were definitely bummed because even though it was gonna be a game day for the guys, it was also gonna be our fun day. I have to also mention that when we go to people's houses, we always clean up after our kids so that we don't leave toys everywhere. That's something I take pride in. So I knew that wasn't the problem. Anyhow, what's done is done. On the way to the mall, Ryan threw up all over himself and Michele found him some extra pants. We met at the mall and it was extremely crowded. I went into Guess first off to get my jacket, then headed to American Eagle for my husband's anniversary gift, then Windsor for my dresses. While I'm in Windsor trying on my anniversary dress (and the other is my Wedding Vow renewal dress), my poor friend is trying to keep all 7 kids together. She finally takes them to the play area by herself. Kyle and another kid got into a little fight at the same time that Ivy was escaping. I then hurt my foot so it was painful to walk. I don't know what happened to it. We go to the toy store and my friend turns her head for a second and doesn't see her little son walk out. It was soooo crowded in there, it was crazy. Security locates him in a Sprint store. He had wandered very far. My poor friend was crying she was so scared. We then decided to go to a McDonalds OUTSIDE the mall. She backs out in the parking lot and then a guy backs into her car so now she has a dent in it. We finally back our cars out of the crazy parking lot and somehow we lost each other. I drove and drove around the area but never found her. I finally just start driving from the mall and I spot her going the opposite direction as me. I do a quick u-turn and honk at her. We finally met up there and ate awhile. With 7 little kids, somehow all cups got completely spilt over and we were wondering if we should leave a tip the table area looked so bad!! LOL! We call the guys and ask them if they just want to meet us at Michele's house so we don't have to be banned any longer. They agree so they meet us their soon after. Once we arrive there, Ivy starts to get diarrhea and Chaz throws up 3 different times after that. Finally after we head out of there I was extremely exhausted and my foot was killing me! I can safely say that it was definitely Black Friday it was so crazy! LOL!

Thursday Thirteen #15

Thirteen Things I'm Grateful For!

1. Well, first off, I am so glad that Charles and I got over the flu last night so we could enjoy thanksgiving dinner today! The same thing happened last year!

2. I'm so grateful that I have wonderful in-laws so that spending the day with them is enjoyable! Everyone is just so pleasant to be around.

3. I am so grateful that God gave me such a loving husband that would be so selfless and so attentive. I hear so many stories of how little couples have in common, or how they don't communicate well, or how they are so into their careers. Only God could of led me to Charles. I'm so thankful for that.

4. I can't believe I've been so blessed to have unbelievably handsome sons and a beautiful daughter. Could I have gotten any more blessed?! Sheesh la-weez!

5. I'm getting a house finally! I'm so sick of living in apartments. Charles and I are kicking ourselves for not buying sooner. We just never were interested because we just loved living in luxury apartments and not having to worry about anything.

6. I am so blessed to have been able to lose most of my weight after 4 kids! Thank you dad for your awesome metabolism! Believe me, I didn't work for it so I can't take any credit. In fact, all of my dad's side are skinny. You would be shocked if you saw how skinny all my uncles and aunts are. :P

7. I'm so grateful that my husband has a wonderful career that he loves. Not many people can say they actually love what they do for a living.

8. I've always wanted a beautiful piano, not a keyboard, and it sounds beautiful. I love just being in the quiet and running my fingers up and down the beautiful keys.

9. I'm grateful that I'll be getting a house and so that I can start getting some pets. We want to big dogs, one little dog for me, we have a little kitten, and we'll be getting some birds. Oh, and I'll be aquiring a little aquarium for my new little tadpoles that'll be turning into frogs soon. Maybe a hamster. Oh, the possibilites are endless!!! I would get some fish but I can't ever keep them alive. Ever.

10. I have great sisters-in law. (yes, that's how you say it. Not sister-in-law's). Could I be any luckier?

11. I have a great church!!! I love how much their focus is on evangelism and reaching out beyond the 4 walls. I love how they go out to Mill ave and witness to everyone that passes by. We have people in church that got saved that way and have stayed.

12. I have a great best friend. She's funny, sweet, and fun to be around. She's loyal and she keeps secrets and isn't a gossiper! Trust me, people like her are hard to find! I am definately grateful for her.

13. I am so grateful that I have Christian parents and that they raised me in church. They are loving, giving, and loyal to what really matters in life. I am lucky that they attend the same church as I do.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Crazy Day in the Nursery

Today in the nursery Ivy kept getting so jealous seeing me hold other kids. She only gets like that when she's tired. But then I couldn't get her to nap because there were 11 other babies that were tired and crying. So at one point, she was so upset that she went over to another boy and popped the top of his head. So then the little boy starting hitting himself over and over. Until he made himself cry. Of course after I told Ivy hitting was a nono, we all couldn't help but giggle over what the baby boy was doing to himself. It was definately a crazy, crazy day. Today, all 12 babies cried for 3 hours. By the time we were done, we just looked at each other and said, "I'm going home!" : )

Daddy's Crazy Night

*This is a picture of my two older sisters and I. Aren't my sisters so cute?

Last night, while I was at the salon, Charles walked the kids around the mall. I only like a certain salon, even though they cost more, I don't have to worry about someone cutting too much hair off when I just ask them for a trim. Well, Charles came in to the salon after I was already seated and I was like, "look at my kids!" to the lady. Right then Ivy threw up all over herself in the stroller. Twice. Everyone saw it. That's happened to me other times. The timing is so odd. So Charles left to go clean her off in a bathroom somewhere and shortly I get a phone call from him on my cell. He's asking me if I can take a break to come rescue him so he doesn't start heaving also. I told him I couldn't but I told him the easiest way to wipe it all up. I was giggling because he was having such a hard time. Then Charles went to a store to buy her a new outfit and came back in to see me. She looked adorable with her new outfit and hat! So he left again with the kids and I got a call shortly after asking me if I had any diapers. I said that the disney diaper bag was in the van. I heard a big sigh. He just ends up asking a mom nearby for one so he wouldn't have to leave to get one. I'm giggling on the other end because I completely understood what he was going through! It was nice to not have to be the one to deal with it. Hee, hee... Then Charles found out that she just didn't have a messy diaper. It was diarreah so it messed up her new outfit a little. After he got her changed and set to go, she threw up again. By the time he came back, I was trying so hard not to smile. I know that sounds evil but I just couldn't help seeing the irony in it! As a mom, I completely understood how he felt. Oh man.... Hee, hee! Really, I shouldn't be laughing! Ummm... I just heard Ivy do something right now and then say "uh oh"... so that probably means I'd better go. Where's daddy when I need him? :)

Remembering Thanksgiving

It was such a busy weekend with errands and stuff that I am so relieved for the weekday. This week is going to be so fun with Thanksgiving and all! So many have forgotten what a special day it is that they are already preparing for Christmas. Not so much for the real meaning of Christmas, but for the gift buying and such. At our house we don't put a tree up or any decorations until December 1st so that we don't push Thanksgiving aside. It's such an awesome day and I am so grateful to be living in America. More and more I realize how truly wonderful it is to be living here and raising my children and grandchildren here. :) I hope you guys have a great week!

Jasmine's Spot

You can hardly tell at all but if you look at the left chair you'll see a little black spot and that is Jasmine's chair. She always goes there to sleep. We might as well just add another chair and make her part of the family at dinner time. Actually, you might notice that the table is too small for my family. Being that we are waiting for our house, we cannot go and finance anything and they are watching everything (hi Lorraine, don't worry we're not buying anything) we do so the table we want is at a certain mall. It fits everyone. For now, at dinner time, we have to pull up a chair and put Ivy in her high chair to fit. Besides, the apartment we're living in is only 1000 sq feet so there is not much room. :P Will...have..to...be...patient. At night you'll always see candles burning in my house. Makes it feel so cozy and is very relaxing. There are ones on top of my piano right now. It reduces stress so well. :) Oh! Forgot to tell you. If you look to the right of the picture, you'll see our China cabinet that is actually from France. Well, if you look even closer you'll see a child lock on it. So funny. When you have kids, everone knows it because no matter how uncluttered you try to keep it, you'll see little hints. Such as a beautiful china cabinet from France with a plastic child safety lock on it. Hee, hee... Now that we have Jasmine, all we need now is a big labrador, a little dog for me, 2 birds, a hamster, and maybe some fish. Maybe I can keep the fish alive longer than a mont this time. That might even be a record.

Ivy's Boots

I wanted you to see Ivy's little pink cowgirl boots. So cute! But if you ever notice that some of my pics aren't very clear is because I take some pictures with my camera phone and they're not as clear as my actual camera. So much easier though to use a camera phone because after you take the pictures, you just email them to your computer at home, then wah-la! They're on your blogsite.

Errands and more Errands!

Could there possibly be anymore errands than the ones we ran yesterday! Sheesh! Can you tell by looking at Charles that we've been in horrible traffic just trying to drive through the biltmore (one of our favorite places) and around the rest of the adjacent cities? Can you tell in the picture that I was not prepared to be going out in public looking like that? :x Oh man! Don't let your jaw drop but we were running errands for 7 hours. Yes, 7 hours. After that, we headed to bible study and since I forgot to change before hand I had to go into one of my favorite stores, Aeropostale, and buy a cute pink sweater (that goes so great with jeans).
See Ivy passed out in the backseat? Today we had more errands to run because we had to go buy Jasmine's little pink collar and get her a tag made that says her name and our number. Arrgh! Never mind that I got incredibly lost trying to get around the mountains so it took me a half hour to get only a few miles away. That was embarrassing to admit to my husband because I never get lost. Just everwhere I turn, there was a mountain. I was like, "Have mercy"!

You know, I look ghost white in that picture. That's what happens in the fall and winter time. Then when summer comes this kind of tan happens! I wish it would always stay like that. I hope I'm not blinding you in the picture above. You probably got a sunburn just looking at me. :P

Trouble at School

My son Chaz got in trouble at school and he is not allowed to go back until I have a parent-teacher meeting so he's been out for 3 days. That is standard for kids in the special needs class. It's been hard to find a time for us to both agree on. Finally I get to meet with her today! I will be going to Chaz's doctors office today and demand an appt since no one will return my phone calls. Well, since Chaz loves to stay home, I am putting him to work
1. mop the floors
2. Clean the backyard
3. sweep
4. pick up toys
5. pick up laundry
6. Clean his room
7. Make beds
8. Clean the bathrooms
9. Laundry
10. And whatever else I can find for him.
I don't want him to think he can get to "step 5" at school, be sent home, and then play. So now he can't wait to go back to school. :)

Thursday Thirteen #14

Thirteen Reasons My Grandpa Got Kicked Out of Walmart

1. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in House wares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

2. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the ladies rest rooms.

3. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and asked to put a bag of M&M's on layaway.

4. September 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

5. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told of the shoppers he'd invite them in if they'll bring pillows from the bedding department.

6. September 23: When a clerk asks if they can help him, he begins to cry and asks, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'

7. October 4: Looked right into the security camera; used it as a mirror, and picked his nose.

8. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, asked the clerk if he knows where the antidepressants are.

9. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously loudly humming the "Mission Impossible" theme.

10. December 6: In the auto department, practiced his "Madonna look" using different size funnels.

11. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browse through, yelled "PICK ME!" "PICK ME!"

12. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumes the fetal position and screams "NO! NO! It's those voices again!!!!"

13. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, "There is no toilet paper in here!"

Holiday Gifts

If you guys are looking for Holiday gifts this year, check out my latest entry on my Arbonne blog. Last year for Christmas, someone had blessed me with a gift basket of stuff like this and I loved it! Girls always love pampering themselves.

Me and my Dad

Oooohhh! Can you tell I'm a daddy's girl? This is one of my favorite pictures that was taken awhile ago while we were at church. :)

Downsizing

I'm showing you this picture because this was taken on Mother's day in May. Charles had bought me this really nice dress that I really loved. Everyone else loved it too. Well, I went to try it on the other day but it was way too big! I was like, "oh no" one moment while saying "yes" the next. Although lately I've been happy about shedding all the pregnancy weight, I have some really nice clothes I can't wear anymore! Some of them are $80 jeans. Expensive skirts and dresses. Charles said, "Oh man, we gotta stop buying you clothes until after a year that you've had a baby. I know. I'm gonna make him go broke having to keep shopping for me while I'm "downsizing".
***Flashback!***
See how things have changed since six months ago in May! Click Here.
I always love looking back in my archives and seeing all the things that have changed. It's weird how much time flies when you're having fun.

Babysitting my Nephews

I'm at my nephews house babysitting so I'm fixing up my song list on my site so you don't have to hear one song over and over. This is awesome! Love it. From now on if you don't like a certain song, simply hit "next" or "pause" if you don't want to hear it at all. I'm much happier with this one.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT POINT!
Okay, my sister has this nice flat screen wide monitor. Well, I scrolled down admiring how much nicer the colors were on her computer when in horror I spotted my virtual model! She didn't look like my size, she looked wider! She's supposed to show my exact measurements. Then I started to look at all my other pictures and realized they were doing the same thing. A wider version of me. Man, if that's what all wide screen monitors make me look like, I'm gonna have to lose another 15 pounds! Yikes. LOL! I hope most of you have regular monitors. :P

Wordless Wednesday

This years "Not My Job" Award goes to....

Old Pic

Hey I found this old picture today and I thought I'd share it with you. It's my mom, dad, and I when I was about 16 or 17. I don't know. It's hard to tell. I think we were hiking. I love finding old pics I haven't seen in awhile. Even though this was 10 years ago, my parents don't seem like they've aged at all. I do of course. Sheesh.

Kyle and Ivy

Kyle and Ivy are so cute. They do everything together while their brothers are at school. They color together, chase the kitten together, sit together, follow each other around. It is so adorable! When Ivy wants something, she'll come up to me and grab me by the hand so she can lead me and show me what she wants. Right now she's in her pink pajamas and red painted finger nails. I just love it when she walks around with her brother's army hat on. So cute. What will Ivy do when Kyle goes to school. She'll miss him so much.

Girls Shopping

Ivy and I love shopping together but you wouldn't know it by the first picture. That's because we're in a grocery store. Trust me though, as soon as we go to a shoe store, her little eyes light up and she starts taking her own shoes off to try some other ones on.

I can't remember where we were in the second picture but I can tell you one thing for sure... I can't stand those umbrella strollers. I think they make them for people who are 4 feet tall. Short people for sure. : )

Typing to Death

Sorry, I've kind of been on an email overload today. I'm trying to get caught up from having my internet down. Phew. Almost done! :) Oh my gosh! This cartoon is disgusting! LOL! Well, I'm not changing it so hope you don't get grossed out.

New Kitten

We got this little stray kitten we found on Sunday. Chaz and I were walking together and he discovered this lonely little kitten. He said, "Oh mom, can we keep it?" Me being the softy said "sure". We right away went to the store to buy all the necessities and we then gave Chaz the job of naming the kitten. Chaz said a pretty girls name would be "mommy" but we said that might get a little confusing so he settled with the name Jasmine. She is just a little cuddler and it's cute seeing her jump around. Chaz is completely in love with her and they say that animals are good therapy for kids like Chaz so she belongs to him. :)

Brianne's House

I was spending the day at my friend Brianne's house and the kids just loved riding in this car so they spent most of the day doing just that. Here is a picture. Ivy kept climbing up next to Chaz and riding around with anyone who would drive. Here's a little clip below. So cute.

Halloween

Okay, can you believe my computer was down a little while ago so I couldn't share with you my Halloween. The church always puts on a big thing for the kids so we dress our kids up and take them to the party. Then we take Ivy to the nursery. From there everyone from church goes to Mill Ave where there are some pretty crazy things happening. First off, it's one huge party where people walk the streets in their costumes. Some are just nice cute ones and others will shock you. Well, we go as a church to share the gospel with people passing by us. I wish I had a picture of that for you. We preach and put on dramas. I witnessed to I don't know how many people. Lots! This guy kept yelling in my face but I just kept being kind to him the who night. Eventually he softened and told us that he wanted to know in the end how many people prayed with us. He left us alone after that. We stayed until about 11pm and left. So many people had prayed with someone by the nights end! Of course there were some shocking moments while we were there like a truck passing by hocking so that all the guys would look in time to see a girl lift up her shirt and flash them. But we knew what we were getting into and the whole point was to share Jesus with the them. We can't just expect people to walk into our church, but instead to bring it to them in the streets. We had a good night. Then we came back for the kids and saw their candy and goldfishes! Of course I dontated the gold fish to someone's fish tank because they kept dying. I had only one left and couldn't bear to see that one die also so I donated the little fella. : )

Wonderful Weekend!

Oh guys! It was such a wonderful weekend! On Saturday the boys played outside with the squirt guns and of course I got this adorable picture.

Then that night at our church we had a concert scene in our parking lot and there was 100 visitors! That's what I love about my church is the focus on evangelism. :) Before the concert was even over people were going up to the front to ask Jesus in their heart. We had mexican food and BBQ. There was cotton candy, a jumping thing for the kids, balloons. The music varied between rock (my husband's band), rap, a teens group, and spanish music. It was a great night!

On Sunday we hung out with our friends Chris and Michele and made fajitas. before we went back to church that night. All in all, it was a great weekend.

Ryan's Bus

Here is Ryan at 7am waiting for his bus. It was cold this morning! Chaz's bus comes before Ryan at 6:52am so we get up at 6:30. To me the hardest part about winter is getting out of the nice warm blankets into the cold! Charles and I are different about waking up. When my alarm goes up, I just hop up out of bed and in 15 minutes I have Chaz out the door. Charles has to hit the snooze several times and then slowly sit up. He always says, "Man, you're awake this morning." Hee, hee... I love the mornings after that first initial shock of the alarm going off.

Homemakers By Choice/Classroom

This is a little cute class I do. Actually, "my 5-6 year old boys" hadn't shown up yet. This is my son Kyle in my class before I took him next door to his own classroom. There are about 11 boys and 1 girl in my class. It's like teaching Sunday School for 3 hours. But we have breaks. Right now the playground is being rebuilt and made bigger so we can only go to the quad room to let them run around a bit. After that we do storytime and sing songs about Jesus. There is teaching and craft time. It's so much fun and I love to teach them! The thing is, it seems like all my life I've always watched boys! When I was younger, whenever I would babysit, it was always boys. It's funny how that seems to follow me through life. I even had 3 boys of my own before I had a girl. LOL! It almost seems like God was preparing me because just next door, the lady has a classroom of mostly girls. I wouldn't know how to be around all those girls. ((Chuckle))

Thursday Thirteen #13

Thirteen Things I've been changing and things I've been longing to change!

1. Okay, so number one was the Xbox. I couldn't stand it because my sons thought about it every waking moment they had. They lived it, breathed it, ate it. I missed them just being boys. So, 2 days ago, I asked a young mom if she wanted it. She was very happy about it. That fixed that problem.

2. I've been meaning to give my boys their chores. So I made a picture chart of their chores today and oh man did it lighten my load. Chaz (who is 6)cleaned the back yard, cleaned the bathroom, and pick up dirty laundry. Ryan (who is 5) cleaned the dining room, mopped the floors and made the beds. Kyle (who is 3) picked up all the toys around the house and put them in the bin. Love it!

3. I have so many stinkin' appts to make that I made a to do list with my wonderful PDA so that my brain doesn't explode. My Homemakers By Choice group teaches us that by writing them down, you take that burden off your brain. It works.

4. Yesterday I hid my husband's computer game. Hee, hee... don't tell him. :D

5. I decided a few years ago that if I was gonna be a married woman that I would want to look nice for my husband and so I would throw away all tshirts in my closet and sweat pants. I only keep nice stuff in my closets. Lessoned #2 learned.... don't just buy clothes because they are a good deal. That one was hard for me. They have to really look good.

6. I really want to teach my kids from on to say "Mr" or "Miss" before someone's first name. Like I would be Miss Virginia to another kid. I don't believe using the last name anymore. That's so long gone I believe.

7. I really need to get brave and cut my husband's hair for him. I am so scared to try. I know I cut my three boy's hair but they have little heads. Maybe I can shave a $ sign and not tell him. Then the next day at work he would get strange looks. J/K. Hee, hee...

8. I need to take my Arbonne University Classes online so I can start selling my product to spas like my friend. I love sales! I also love the product. So, there you go.

9. I need to lose my last 7 lbs. Then I'll be the same weight I was before I had 4 kids. Just 7 more! Come ooooon!

10. I need to get rid of stuff and more stuff. I have lots of family that likes to give stuff. Either I need to learn how to say no or I need to just set it all on fire before it reaches the house.

11.
If you ever get a chance, you need to watch "Unhook the Stars". It'll touch your heart. But not in the way you might think. I warn you though... it'll teach you about appreciating your little ones while they are little. One of the moms in it though can be graphic with her words but the whole point is to see what this little kid goes through. You just have to see. I hug my kids a little more these days. Appreciating them while little. This is something I am working on.

12. I need to get up before 6:30am to read my bible and pray. I used to be able to get up at 7:30am to do that but now that my kids are in school I need that time alone. The Lord is my strength and I can feel it when I have not been walking daily with him and studying His Word.

13. I need to break away from my same group of friends some so I can make new friends and reach out to those that might not have a friend. I want to bring a card to a sad one, or lunch to a busy one, or a Starbucks card to cheer someone up. I need to get my head out of my little cloud and see beyond my own issues. :)

That's it for me today! Thanks for letting me get these things off my chest! Happy TT day!

Internet Down. : P

Okay, my internet is going to be fixed this week. I do get internet on my little Palm Pilot (PDA). But I can't really post off of it. Anyhow, we are doing good and we had an awesome Halloween. I can't wait to share pictures with you. Right now I am studying about Arbonne (as you see my ad in the banner). I absolutely love learning so that is no burden for me. Even more I love selling so I am excited to start selling the products to some spas near me. Anyhow, I must learn, learn, learn right now so I am having fun doing that. :) I very much believe in what I am selling and it is more than just money to me. It's my hobby so it's a joy doing it. Anyhow, I hope you guys all had an awesome Halloween! We went down to Mill Avenue and witnessed to people till about 11 at night before I had to pick up my kids. They came home from a party with lots of candy and stuff. Ivy was a little lady bug. Chaz was a spiderman, Ryan a powerranger, and Kyle a chicken. I got some pics I will share later. Can't wait to get my internet back up. : )
