Post Mother's Day Thoughts

I sometimes have to remind myself (actually often) that I'm not just washing dirty clothes or changing diapers, but I am raising up future men and women that will someday fork out a path for themselves and their families. What I teach them now, the values I place in them now, or going to be some of their core beliefs as adults. They are so incredibly moldable right now it's scary. I know I have to be very careful. I want them to know that God should be the number one person in their lives and He loves them very much. I don't want to live my life comprising, or wavering, so they will know that it is possible to stay faithful through thick and thin. That the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike. That life is not always fair and if they do fall down morally or in other ways, to pick themselves, brush off the dirt, and to keep going. Not to give up because God never gives up on them. Being a mother is one of the scariest things to me that I could ever do, yet very rewarding.
