March 4th is my fifth Blogoversary!  I've enjoyed blogging these past five years so to celebrate, lets do a giveaway!

Even before I had any girls, I used to realize how many moms didn't realize their little girls' were showing their undies while playing.  Like on the playground, sitting in circle time in the classroom, spinning like my girls do when they are playing ballerina.  I always said "When I have a daughter, I'm gonna have to buy some sort of bloomers for them to keep them modest." Well, I don't know if you've noticed, those are hard to find.

Since my little princesses wear skirts and dresses quite often, these are perfect.  I've tried putting shorts under their dresses but since they don't fit snugly around the leg, it doesn't always cover their little undies.

So I tried the bloomers on my girls and they are wonderful!  They're breathable and machine washable.  They come in sizes 3-7. There is no annoying tag to make them uncomfortable either.   They can bounce, swing, play, spin, slide, hang upside down all they want and can keep their modesty also.

What's funny is when I was about to take a picture to show you her cute bloomers, she was sitting on the couch, snuggling her doll, completely unposed. This is a perfect example of a little girl just relaxing but not realizing how they are sitting.  Her little bloomers keep the outfit modest since her skirt came up unnoticed.

Questions Kids Ask That Make You Choke

This is rated PG-13.  Well, at least to me it is.  

While running a million errands last night with my family, I was relaxing and enjoying my David Sunflower seeds sitting in the front seat.  Charles was inside the building paying some bills while we sat in the van.  I of course have 6 kids sitting in the back.  Chaz, my 10 year old, asks very loudly just as it got quiet in the van,

"Mom, what's sex?!"

Ack!  (Cough, uh)  I started choking on my seeds.  Ryan (9) tries to offer his idea.  Wasn't correct.  I have all these little kids in the back seat.  I am NOT answering this question here and now.  AND NOT when I'm caught off guard. That's so unfair.

I start sweating.  What to say? What to say?  So I calmly just say (for now) "It's when married people are affectionate with each other.  Something you only do in marriage."  

"Oh".

"Chaz, where did you learn that word?"  (Thinking of an influence at school).

"Mom, I read it in the bible."

It was my turn to say, "Oh".

There is only one problem with that answer.  Even though it was legit for now.  What if we are walking by a couple making out and Chaz says loudly, "Oh, look.  Those people are having sex!"  I would have to crawl under a rock.

More questions started to come.
"Mom, what happens if you are married but you kiss someone else?"
"Well, that's called Adultery."
"Can I have a girlfriend?".
"No, Chaz you have to be 18 and court."
"Well, I really like this girl at school.  So she can't be my girlfriend?"
"No, you are 10.  By the way, is she a Christian?"
"No, those are too hard to find.  There a million non Christian girls and only a few Christian ones."
"Well, Chaz, I'd rather you pick from 10 honest to goodness Christian girls if you had to than from a million of unsaved ones."
"Wow, that's gonna be hard."
"Yeah, well it's worth it.  Trust me, when the time comes you'll have more than 10 to choose from."

Starting to get worried because this sounds a LOT (no pun intended) like Lot (in the bible) asking God if he would save the Sodom and Gomorrah if there were at least 10 that served God.  Well, God couldn't even find 10.

Let's hope 8 years from now or more that there are at least 10 Christian women to choose from.  Ha.

Protect Your Kids Online

I highly recommend SafeEyes (Click to read more) for your home to protect your children from harmful internet content.  Everyone in the family has a password so you can set up time limits and block different kinds of websites for each person. It will tell you if children post personal information, or inappropriate posts.  For the adults, you can disable SafeEyes if you are having troubles accessing a certain website. 

I've used this program for 2 years and have experienced no glitches or problems with it.  It's incredibly cool because you can have each person in your house have their own sign in.  Their own time limits, internet restrictions.  Like my kids have the highest restrictions. They can't go on Youtube, internet social sites, download anything.  They also have strict times they are allowed on the computer.  Never EVER do we have computers in anyone's bedroom.  They are always kept in the open.  I wanted to share this with you because it's been so successful for us.  We've used other ones in the past with poor customer service or that mess up our computer.  You can click on the link I give above to go to the website and get a 30 day FREE trial.  :)  You can't beat that.

Darn Hackers

Have you ever had that happen to you where your friend's Yahoo IM gets taken over by a bug and sends you messages?  I was dooped the first time but I get it daily.  Your "friend" sends you a chat.  It even waits for you to respond and then types a reply.  The first time I bought into and went to take some dumb IQ test.  Now, I just have fun talking with the computer that's doing it.  Their answers vary each time.  Like "Okay, brb, I'm gonna go take a shower and when I get back I'll check to see your score".
