Surprises Kids Leave on Your Camera

My kids have been getting a hold of my camera a lot lately.  I seriously need to get them their own cameras to be creative. They make videos and take pictures.  I'm always in for some surprises every time I load all the pictures on to my computer.  Here are a few of the funny ones... Of course I edited them for better color.

Above: Ashley put on goggles to look at the new doggy bone brought into the house for our big Great Dane.

I guess goggles make it so much safer to get near it.

Little chihuahua watching big Henry eat a bone.  That's how I feel when I see my husband eat a candy bar and I can't have one.

Above: Kyle wanted to send a video of him singing happy birthday to a friend.  Not a good quality video but creative and funny.  LOL.  I didn't know he was making this but it was pretty darn cute.

Even though I have to wade through hundreds of photos from the kids, there are a few great treasures in them.  :)  I need to give them the camera more often.

Kyle relaxing on his bed.  Some day he's gonna mention all the teddy bears behind him.  I think he was trying to look cool in this picture.  Soooo cute though with the teddy bears.

Stinky Diaper and a Smiling Baby Can Only Mean One Thing....

I finally sent my camera out for repairs.  I loooove taking pictures and I'm tempted to get a new camera so I can have the 14 mega pixels rather than 10.  We shall see.  I'm just tired of my battery case always breaking when I never drop it or treat it roughly.  It just wears out and breaks every month.  That's a really weak battery case door.  Android phones take okay pictures but nothing like a nice camera so I really miss it.  Pleeeeease send my camera back soon.

This morning Caleb woke up with a really, REALLY stinky diaper.  I changed him but when I got up to go get a plastic bag to put it in, the diaper had disappeared.  The only one awake was Caleb and he was just sitting there smiling at me.  I asked him where he put it but he just gave me some baby talk.  Argh.  That is ONE STINKY diaper I didn't want hiding in some corner somewhere.  I looked everywhere but couldn't find it.  When the kids woke up I had everyone go in a search for it.  An hour later Ryan found it in the office.  I asked him if it stank.  He took a big whiff (big mistake) and he yelled because the smell was so bad.  Yep, that was the right one.  I about fell out of my chair laughing.  Thankfully, we were able to bag it up and take it out.

FINALLY I can homeschool with the kids and have more time in the day for it without rushing!  I've had so much more time on my hands and that's the best way to spend the extra time.  Not breathing over their necks but just sitting beside them and being able to take our time at it.  We've also wanted more time to go over scripture study and the character quality of the week.  It was funny because yesterday Chaz was upset about having to stop playing and start his homeschool.  It's never easy to get him going on it and so he was crying about it.  I made him sit down and get to work and after about an hour he came to me excited because of all the history he was learning.  He said, "Wow, learning can be so fun!"

A 6 Year Old's Idea of the Perfect Job

It was late at night and my daughter Ivy had a lot of heavy thoughts on her brain she needed to unload before she could sleep.

Mom, remember when I would come to you and tell you something was wrong with me when I'd go to the bathroom?

Yes?

Well, I was tricking you. I just wanted you to take me to the doctor because I LOVE going to the Dr's.  They make me happy, give me treats, sometimes tickle me, and make me feel better.

Well, if you like Dr's so much, when you grow up why don't you marry one?

Because, mom, they work all day until dark time and I'll hardly ever get to see him.

Oh, that is so true.  What about a car mechanic?  They like to fix cars.

Same thing.  They are just so busy fixing other people's cars.

What about someone who fixes computers?  Then they can fix your computer too.

Yeah, but then when the computer breaks he'll always have to be running to the store to buy stuff.

What about if you marry a pastor?

Mom, I want to be able to sit by my husband in church.

Oh yeah, that is so true! (Haha.)  Okay, Ivy

Chaz "unloading the truck."
Mom, all I can think about is I don't want doctors, bus drivers, soccer, football, and baseball players, a pastor, a guy that works at the zoo, or a guy that has to clean all the time. I don't want to marry any of those.

Why not?

Because those things are hard on a husband and I want to be able to see him.

What about a guy who takes care of flowers?

Only mommies take care of flowers.

What about marrying a teacher?

No, because every day there is always school. The next day, and the next day....

Ivy, I think you're gonna have to marry a guy that works from home.

Okay!  Goodnight, Mom!
