Christians tend to just focus on immorality as a bad thing but movies can display lots more than that. Profanity, blasphemy, homesexuality, degrading of marriage, degrading of moral values, etc.Virginia Revoirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12426979985073932937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23435832.post-8182496948856270932010-03-12T17:48:15.976-07:002010-03-12T17:48:15.976-07:00Bonnie, I love not having a TV! Finally, we opted just to get rid of it.Virginia Revoirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12426979985073932937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23435832.post-49564863129933797082010-03-12T06:13:35.363-07:002010-03-12T06:13:35.363-07:00The R rating thing doesn't bother me so much a...The R rating thing doesn't bother me so much as some of the G ratings are sick movies.

Honestly? I think that these movies are rated by Hollywood types and not by "things God wants us to see" and "things God does NOT want us to see"... but more by "things the American people will tolerate their kids watching" and "things they WILL NOT allow them to watch."

Sometimes things "American" families tolerate are ungodly, and other times I think that as Christians we need to see and talk about brutal ugliness (ex. child sex slavery!) that the general populace thinks it's not nice to talk about.

I dunno. Just my thought...

Ryan looks like the perfect gentleman in the photo. And Ivy is so beautiful. I didn't realize they were getting so tall. :)Happy Elf Mom (Christine)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15047347624037697311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23435832.post-61810617020243213172010-03-12T00:02:01.509-07:002010-03-12T00:02:01.509-07:00What a precious memory!
